TIDBIT | Smallville's Lasting Appeal
Smallville was a show that started it all ... Tom Welling portrayed a young Clark Kent still discovering his superhuman abilities. A show that seemingly was only to be through his high school years brought us through his college to the point he becomes the ray of hope known as Superman. It was that last scene with Welling finally donning the Superman suit as the final of scene of Smallville played back in May 2011 that would launch what is now known as the DC Shared TV Universe with Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and possibly Supergirl.
Looking through the lens of Smallville's leading man, Tom Welling, finally opens up what it was like for 10 years of his life as The Last Son of Krypton. We also learn that it was the near 14 hour days, if not longer that was the biggest sacrifice. We would hope with the technology of today that it would be much easier for the actors of today including Stephen Amell, who portrays Green Arrow and Grant Gustin, who portrays The Flash.
